Accident Blocks DI Bridge

A car traveling onto Davis Islands just after Noon today, hit a guard rail and flipped onto the driver side of the car. The accident caused a backup getting onto the islands and TGH traffic was routed onto the island along Columbia Drive.

The National Hurricane Center released its forecast for the 2010 season today. Warmer than normal waters are pushing forecast to call for a higher than normal amount of storms.

The City of Tampa has launched a new notification system, Alert Tampa, replacing Reverse 911.
Registering for Alert Tampa is free and citizens who live or work in Tampa are encouraged to sign up at www.tampagov.net/alerttampa.
